Project Cinderella

Project Cinderella, initially began with the Provisional Class of 2004-2005 with the goal of providing young high school ladies in the Victoria area the opportunity to obtain formal wear to prom. In subsequent years the project has not only expanded to surrounding community schools but also to young men. Provisional members oversee the not only the collection and distribution of formal wear to young ladies and men, but also seek to provide these youth with all the extra features that make prom special hairstyling, jewerly, make-up and even dinner!

The project is beginning to become an established effort in the Victoria community in which many people now contact the league to make donations and the local schools as well as youth programs come to the league for assistance in providing youth with attire for prom. Project Cinderella not only serves as an outreach, but it is coordinated by incoming provisional members in which new members receive experience in developing, organizing and executing a project while learning marketing and public relations skills.
