Proceeds from the Charity Ball will be used to fund
community programs and agencies focused on child and family enrichment,
including health and wellness and elderly volunteerism. In the past, the
event's revenues have been used to begin and fund community agencies such
as Gulf Bend Center, The Youth Home of Victoria, the Child Welfare Agency,
Hope School, Making the Grade and the Women's Crisis Center.


The duties of the Community Research and Development
committee are to coordinate and supervise all research and development of
community projects, function as a liaison between the community and league
projects and coordinate and supervise all aspects of Community Assistance Funds.

The Public Relations Co-Chair, or
Inside & Out Editor, is responsible
for the format, deadline schedules, policies, printing method, and presentation
of the newsletter.

The duties of the Public Relations committee are to promote
and maintain the image of the JLV in the community, and increase community
awareness of the League programs, projects, community placements and fund-raisers.
To increase membership awareness of League activities and to promote camaraderie
between members.

The Treasurer-Elect is in training to serve as Treasurer the following
year, working in partnership with the Treasurer to complete all duties.
She also serves as the Co-Chair or the Finance Committee.
